 A demo arrived by e-mail that completely shocked me, that demo is Tales of the Heaven which is the first 3D Mario Brothers style game that I have seen for the Amiga. The engine is great and has been the combination of over two years hard work by developers Darkage Software who are made up of people from all over the world and are now looking for a Publisher.
It is pretty easy to get it working, once dearchived you just double click on the execute and it loads up to the main menu being greeted by some good music and the credits of those who worked so hard on its production.
 The demo is brief but I think it will impress both readers and Publishers and as it is brief I am going to tell you as little as possible. The controls can take a while to get used to, you rotate your player in the direction you want to go and then push forward to make him walk in that direction. It takes a little time, at the beginning I fell off the ledge and made a fool of myself. The first discovery along what appears to be a path way in the sky is a chest which upon opening will reveal a gem, you collect these as you go along. All I'm going to tell you after this is, press fire to jump and be careful on the bridge?
The objects are done on Lightwave and the textures for the objects on their own software and there are up to more than 2000 polygons on screen. The developers have confirmed that graphics card support will be included.
 They have also informed Amiga Flame that if the readers give them the necessary support they will have the momentum to complete Tales Of The Heaven soon.
Darkage Software has also released at the Pianeta Amiga'98 show, Extreme, a program to create Multimedia effects like ScalaMM but with cool demo effects. The program is shareware and it costs 15DM.

- Dearchive the lha file in one Drawer.
- Double click on the icon, it'll load up immediately.
