Polish developers, Gobi Software are working on Xpedition, a space-adventure shoot'em up game.
Xpedition is set in a small Outpost in deep space from which a Colonial troopers squad, protect the borders of human civilization from incoming aliens. Before you enter the first of the ten big levels to explore you may choose four men, their weapons, ammunition, and equipment.
There are ten different characters to select including two robots who can be armed from an array of weapons such as guns, grenades, flame throwers, missiles, IRvisors and scanners. It also includes many doors, keys, disks and traps and even computer terminals with maps and information.
Xpedition will require at least an 020 processor, 2MB Ram along with some Fast Ram and will work on Ecs or Aga. An old demo of Xpedition is currently available from their web site. From the early screenshots, it looks slightly similar in style to the Chaos Engine that was highly popular among Amiga Gamers. Perhaps Xpedition could be the successor.
