Over the last two weeks Amiga Flame has been following closely the latest developments surrounding The Prophet, a Dungeon Master style adventure game. This week Alive MediaSoft have made a further announcement regarding the features that are included in The Prophet along with some nice graphics.
There is no fixed route through The Prophet, so you can go where you want, do what you want, when you want too. You'll discover plots within plots, help poor unfortunates or just kill for money and power. You can go on quests that change the shape of the game, completing one may open or close another.
The Prophet has over 200,00 locations set in the city, dungeons, graveyard, crypt, temple and even an alternate dimension. There are more than 50 different types of locations which include shops, taverns, guilds, spinners, false walls, Teleports, buttons, levers and more.
The monsters in this Dungeon Master style game will have totally unique strengths and weaknesses, some have poison, disease or magic attack. Some may try to weaken you by attacking your arms or legs, others might beat you unconscious. There are four different styles of attack that vary in efficiency depending on the weapon used and your skill in that attack. A defensive move, as well as a run away. Every weapon has its own individual statistics so you can see how good it is for hacking, slashing, jabbing, defending as well as how heavy it is and how easy to use. The Prophet also has a unique learning system, that means you choose how your character will advance such as training in magic, thievery, medicine or fighting skills.
Alive MediaSoft has corrected last week's announcement by stating that The Prophet won't be ready until the 19th of April. Pre-orders are now being taken at 12.99 UK Pounds, but after its release in April it will go to the full price of 14.99 UK Pounds.
