Vote For The Top 10 Games Of 1999
(*)

This is the second year that Amiga Flame gives Amiga Gamers the opportunity to vote for the Best Game of 1999. This year has been marked as a brilliant year for Amiga Gaming, and so I expect voting not to be a three-way race as it was last year between, Foundation, Genetic Species and the winner of the 1998 award, Quake.

I recommend that Gamers choose their choice wisely, by reading through the list of games as you only have one vote. The results of the voting will be announced in the early hours of New Years Day.

Title Genre Developer Publisher Description Vote

NAPALM: The Crimson Crisis
Strategy war game similar to Command & Conquer ClickBOOM This game was just what the early months of 1999 needed, the first and possibly the best Command & Conquer type game for the Amiga coming from last year winners, ClickBOOM. Its explosive effects and well-designed gameplay left an impact on reviewers and gamers alike with most astonished and left gasping for more. A sequel is on the way.

The Prophet
RPG Alive MediaSoft The Prophet, which was developed by a one-man author, boasted what most other developments have lacked, 200,000 locations from city locations to graveyards and even an alternative dimension. This RPG in the style of Dungeon Master, offered a welcome alternative to the usual mix of C&C style games in 1999.
Vote
Red Mars Strategy war game Power Computing Red Mars is another C&C style game, which slipped the net of usual magazine publicity, with only a sparse number of reviews getting into the magazines. The publisher, Power Computing may have been at fault over this, but those reviewers who did get hold of a copy, found it to be a rewarding game.

Wasted Dreams
Arcade Adventure Digital Dreams Entertainment Digital Dreams Entertainment It's the game, which has gone through so many background changes, from changes of its name to a change of development teams. However, the quality has never been affected with it sure to be popular choice amongst voters. This arcade-adventure has offered a mixture of shoot'em up type action, along with puzzles, strategy and plenty of mystery.

T-Zer0
Shoot'em up ClickBOOM ClickBOOM's second game of 1999, T-Zer0, arrived in time for the World of Amiga show and was one the best selling titles at the show. This type of shoot'em up game is just the means of relieving stress, blasting ships, and basically everything else on the screen with it also having 100's MB worth of movies between the levels, bringing this classic style of a game up to the modern day.

Moonbases
C&C style game Homegrown Software Alive Mediasoft Homegrown Software's C&C game, Moonbases finally got released by Alive Mediasoft after having problems with their previous publisher. It doesn't have the graphics of Napalm, but its up to you to decide if it has the better gameplay.

Virtual Grand Prix
F1 Racing Paolo Cattani Epic Marketing This F1 racing game is fantastic for those people who really think they could handle F1 racing with it being very realistic, so much so that rather than being the winner of each race, you might find that end up like Hill, going off the track more than staying on it. The author, Paolo Cattani has done a fine job, with this certainty improving on Grand Prix, at least for realism and graphics.

Wipeout 2097
Futuristic Racing Digital Images Blittersoft Digital Images conversion of Wipeout 2097, a futuristic racing game is likely to have been a dream come true for PPC gamers, who for too long have been relying on a relatively few titles to use the full power of their accelerator board. Wipeout 2097 was a success when it originally came out and with this conversion, it is set to be in many a gamers Christmas list.

Putty Squad
Puzzle/ Platform game Alive Mediasoft Putty Squad is a delightful platform game, which was never properly released, that is until Alive Mediasoft took up the task. I was convinced by this game when the first demo came out many years ago, and still it only takes you to play the demo, to want to buy this awesome game. It was only released in the closely weeks of December, but it is sure to still make its mark on the Chart.

Goal 2000
Soccer Alive Mediasoft Alive Mediasoft revamped this soccer game adding new in-gameplay tweaks, now near perfect gameplay, all up-to-date team strips, the most up-to-date teams from Premier League and Ensley League and a new Cup knock-out competition with aggregate replays. Is it a Sensible Soccer beater, Steven Flowers believes so but are you convinced?
