Amiga (the company) has officially announced that Corel Corporation, makers of highly acclaimed products, CorelDRAW and WordPerfect plan to develop products for the Amiga NG.
In May of this year rumours were abound that Corel Corporation were one of Amiga's software partners, this official announcement finally confirms what is a positive sign that Amiga (the company) is actively engaging software companies to convince them to support the Amiga.
Amiga President, Jim Collas said, “This insures that our customers who purchase the new Amiga systems will have world class personal productivity applications such as the upcoming WordPerfect Office for Linux”. Although some people have been slightly critical that Amiga would use the announcement in order to silent dissident from some within the Amiga Community who do not support the Amiga's Linux decision.
