Drake has been described as being similar to Microprose's Pirates, acting as the inspiration behind this new title. One of the authors behind this game said, �I really loved that game, but after years of sailing the Caribbean Sea there was nothing left to explore. I always wanted to create a game like that, but with more features, different maps, more goods to trade... and all this in a 3D world�.
Drake will have features such as free zoom and camera turns, day /night, sun circulation, wind, fog, clouds, and textured waving water surface. It will feature different maps either historical or fantasy along with missions. It will also have a strong trading element.
Drake is currently being developed for Amiga PPC gamers, supporting WarpOS and Warp3D. It will also support CyberGraphX or Picasso96.
