Amiga journalist, Rick Jones revealed in an article posted to the Amiga Newsgroups about his visit to the Los Angeles Electronic Entertainment Expo, which revealed some interesting results about those companies who are showing interest in the Amiga.

The Los Angles Electronic Entertainment Expo is a trade show, which is closed to the public, Rick Jones decided to attend in effort to find out what the future holds for the new Amiga's in the area of games software. He spoke with those people identified by their badges as CEO, President, Vice President, Manager, Director or a similar title. A few companies were aware of the new Amiga's, this included Psygnosis, Blue Byte and Microprose, however they stated that they will not develop for the new Amiga's until sufficient numbers of the new Amiga's have been sold and the demand is there to make it worth their time investing in the platform. Although disappointing it is good to see that these companies are keeping up to date.

Rick Jones also said that most of games companies including the ones mentioned above were not even aware that new Amiga's were in development. This raises questions, to why Amiga (company) has not taken the time to establish contact with game companies. It would also seem apparent that by establishing dialogue with companies such as Psygnosis, they could perhaps persuade them to take an active role in developing for the Amiga NG, rather than waiting for the demand. After all, the first games released will probably be the most bought by new Amiga NG Gamers.

Lets hope that Amiga (company) will go on the offensive to win the support of the major games developers and publishers.
