Pre-orders are now being taken by Blittersoft for the soon to be released Wipeout 2097. It was in November, last year that Digital Images confirmed they had signed a deal with Psygnosis that would allow them to convert this highly acclaimed racing game.
Wipeout 2097 contains highly detailed 3D graphics, featuring 8 tracks with up to 15 ships racing concurrently including 5 ship models with different characteristics. The ships also have up to 8 weapons or extras to help make you the winner of the race. Wipeout 2097 boasts 9 CD audio tracks and 16 bit sound FX.
There are also Amiga specific features such as it running on Workbench, an increased maximal view distance during the race, and a fogging effect.
Wipeout 2097 requires a PowerPC Amiga, a 3D gfx card, 24MB Ram and is CD-Rom only. If you have a high spec Amiga, this is certainty the game that puts all those upgrades to great use.
