This years World of Amiga show takes place next weekend (24th - 25th July) at a time of great hope amongst the Amiga Community that Amiga will reveal more of their plans for the future of the Amiga. This year's show is taking place at a new London venue in the prestigious Kensington Town Hall Conference Centre.

A press conference is expected to take place either on a Friday or Saturday night (to be confirmed) at which Amiga President, Jim Collas will speak more about the Amiga NG and Amiga's plans. They may even reveal some of their partners and perhaps the CPU that they have selected for the Amiga NG.

Amiga games companies have taken numerous stands at the World of Amiga show, which should make this years show a lot more exciting. Alive MediaSoft is once again planning to be there with over 700 titles on display including their own titles and promise to have a few surprises. Epic Marketing will also have a stand to display their own range of games software. They will be hosting staff from games developers Darkage Software who are to show off a demo of Tales from Heaven and should answer any of your questions.

For the first time Pagan Software has taken a stand and will have Dafel: Bloodline, Scavengers and other games on display to view and possibly try out. Game Publishers, Crystal Software will also have their own stand, they have already impressed those who attended the ANT meeting at which Power Computing will have a large stand to sell plenty of hardware, but also their latest game release, Red Mars. ClickBOOM this year are sponsoring a WoA games arcade giving people the chance to try out T-Zer0.

Stands have been taken by Amiga Magazines such as Amiga Format and newcomer Amigactive, which will offer their latest issues and answer any Amiga questions you may have. Hardware and serious software companies, for example Active Technologies, will take the majority of stands.
